Jurgen de Vries

Jurgen is partner at PBLCO. In recent years he has represented the political interests for several (non-) governmental organizations and industries (chemicals, energy, finance, food, government and commodities). He works and has worked for international clients, such as AON (pensions), U.S. Industrial Pellets Association (energy), InterGen (energy), PepsiCo (food) and Dow Chemical (energy). Prior to setting up his own firm, Jurgen was the Dutch office director of the U.S. based communications and public affairs consultancy, Weber Shandwick.

Since 1998, Jurgen has been a public affairs consultant for several utility companies (energy, gas, and housing), finance and industry associations. He is an alumnus from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, where he graduated with a Master’s degree in Public Administration and he also holds a degree from Indiana University, School of Public and Environmental Affairs.

PG Kroeger

PG Kroeger is a strategic consultant for PBLCO. PG has extensive experience within governments in the Netherlands and Brussels, and as a writer and editor. He focuses mainly on education, academia,
science, and innovation. The career of ‘PG’ Kroeger took place in an international context, and often connected to topics relating to the exchange and sharing of knowledge. He often began without a predecessor, and has become used to pioneering.

Thinking ahead and thinking along with decision makers was central for PG’s career, from ministers and parliament party leaders in The Hague to key European figures, and from chairpersons at university boards and colleges to think tanks and events on a global scale. For and with such people, PG wrote and continues to write.

For PG, the writing of several new books will take up the foreseeable future. PG will continue to use his imagination and connections throughout the world in useful ways for PBLCO.

Oliver van Loo

Oliver is partner at PBLCO and specializes in public affairs, political lobbying and strategic communications. He works, among others, for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI), the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative (IAVI), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the World Bank, and the VU University Amsterdam.


Previously, Oliver worked with different government affairs firms, such as The Issuemakers, Pilgrims Consult and Lindblom. He mainly worked for clients in the energy sector (on carbon capture and storage), transportation, and for various universities on human rights issues. Oliver is also the vice president of the Netherlands Martin Luther King Lecture Foundation, member of the board at Week of Respect. Together with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, he launched a fund for students expelled from university by dictatorial regimes in 2006 and 2009.

Jasper Benus

Jasper Benus is consultant at PBLCO. He works for Dietz Communicatie, a bureau in Utrecht connected to PBLCO. He is the pivot between national, regional and local issues with regard to politics, society and corporate life. His work activities include strategy development, stakeholder management, strategic communication and public affairs. Jasper advises a broad scale of organizations, including NGOs, investors, multinationals, education institutions, trade associations project developers and local governments.

Jasper is proactive, engaged and thinks in interests. He is analytically strong and knows which connections will serve the interests of his clients. Besides his work, Jasper is secretary of the political network Mobiliteit & Leefomgeving (VVD) and works for Stichting Stadsontspanning in Utrecht, where he is partially responsible for various events in the city.
